Nick and Carly are just about the cutest couple EVER!
Carly contacted me last summer about photographing her wedding later this year, and of course I was so excited to be her wedding photographer! We were able to meet up this past weekend and it was such a treat to spend some quality time with her and her soon-to-be husband Nick!
We met in Black Forest, Colorado to shoot their engagement session and my-oh-my was it chilly! The temperature was in the high 20’s but when you’re shooting on a foot of snow, in the shade, it was a lot colder than that! I was wearing boots and I could tell my toes were feeling the cold- but Carly was wearing open toe heels, so I’m not going to complain!
While we chased the evening sunshine, Carly and Nick laughed, danced, and enjoyed each other’s company. I love engagement sessions because it truly is the best way to get to know each other. Shooting a wedding is a big job and it’s so much easier to arrive on the big day ready to work when you’ve already created a familiarity with eachother. In this case, I can guarantee that their wedding day is going to be a BLAST!
I had such a fun time laughing with Nick and Carly- and if the sun hadn’t set and it hadn’t been so cold, I know we would have continued shooting for a while!
They will tie the knot in Black Forest, Colorado this fall and I’m super, super excited to be there on their special day. It is truly a day I am looking forward to a lot!
As you scroll, be sure to take a peek at Carly’s ring, because WOW. Nick, you did a pretty fine job choosing that rock! 🙂
